Meet the Hinterland Business Center Team
The Hinterland Business Centre (HBC) is a not-for-profit community asset serving the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Our charter is to support local enterprises which are intrinsic to the local area and contribute to the economy of the region. Our focus is on supporting viable businesses which enhance our local environment and develop our unique social and economic attributes.
Over 5 years ago the HBC was inspired to develop a showcase for the “Magic” that is the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. In 2010 the book, “Earth Dreams Magic – A Journey through the Blackall Range Region” was published. It is from this exceptional and inspirational book that the “Earth Dreams Magic” blog evolved.
Edith-Ann Murray, Alison James and Catherine O’Connell have worked together to make the next stage of the journey a reality.
Edith – Ann Murray
Role: Manager of HBC, Artist, Business Owner – the list is endless - She also knows everyone that’s worth knowing!
I love living on the mountain top and love living in our community! I wish there were more days in the week.
Alison James
Role: Administrator, organiser, financial wizard and (sometimes) all round nice girl!
I love my two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, both girls, Roxi and Tinka Belle who are my little rocks. I love to cook and my speciality is gluten free!
Catherine O’Connell

I live in Maleny with my wonderful family and my gorgeous black Lab Ebbie. The Hinterland has been my inspiration and my refuge. All that it has to offer – from its great community and its natural environment is something that I want to share….Earth Dreams Magic – The Blog allows me to do that…
